Best thing about this football season? Peyton & Eli.

Dec 3, 2021, 9:47 AM

Not that I care one bit about pro football, but given our Tigers were out of the race early, I did not go out of my way to watch any football, college or pros, other than the Wake and coot games.

BUT. But. APM has really enjoyed watching the Mannings comment on MNF. I could do without some of their guests, but other guests have been great. The best part for me is listening to the brothers call plays before they happen and give suggestions. Peyton in particular is interesting with that aspect.

Anyhow, they make boring football interesting.

Well that and the first 3 weeks when I thought the Panthers weren’t going to be a dumpster fire.

Boy was I foolish. Somehow they went backwards and got an older more broken down Cam Newton. Lost McCaffrey for the season, and have no chance at the playoffs or even hope for the future.

But those first 3 weeks were glorious.

That's one of the things I don't like about the NFL.

Rarely does a hot team or novel approach stay hot. Remember when the Rams couldn't be stopped a few years ago then we had the most boring Super Bowl ever? Or the Chiefs, or whomever. The coaches are too smart and the athletes are too good, so they adjust quickly.

Being a Panthers fan makes me feel somewhat sorry

for Coots...always that slight glimmer of hope before getting your dreams crushed.

Actually, F the Coots. I don't feel sorry for them at all.

Yep, I've enjoyed it too. The regular MNF broadcast is weak

so they are a nice changeup. First time I watched I wasn't impressed because of the bad guest they happened to have on, but it grew on me.

I've been a big fan

them two shooting the #### at times is just a classic. I like Eli giving Peyton #### more than the other way around.

I could watch football with Peyton Manning all day long.
