Now, I have heard the rumor that DJ will not be coming back next year. So maybe your theory has some legs. That said, if he does transfer, we squandered countless opportunities to get Cade real game reps, so we retarded his development to a degree just for the sake of DJ.

But this one is particularly bad.

We win this for 8 in a row, and with authority (which is the direction the game was heading until the safety kick fumble), that's backbreaking to the Cawks. No, you and Beamer haven't turned a corner. Yes, we're still your daddy. There is no hope. Your Tennessee win was a fluke. Sit your mullet ### down.

This loss has rejuvenated them. And while I know history says that'll bring them back down to earth, a win like this could be dangerous for us in terms of their program growth. It could be dangerous in recruiting. A good part of our dominance over them has been breaking their spirit. That's gone now unless we blast them at home next year.

We lost five in a row to them but in only two of those matchups did they have the more talented team. We pissed that 2009 game away and it ###### us up mentally for five years.

I know in the past, people in both our camp and theirs have said the focus isn't the rivalry--it's winning the conference first. No. That's BS. Because until you can have the ownership over your instate rival in all facets of the game, that other stuff won't come as easily nor will it have the weight if it does.

If this loss came to Wake or Syracuse or Louisville, yeah, I'd say pump the brakes on the doom and gloom. This one, however, may prove more damaging than we think.
