Ky was not a top 10 team. And now ole miss beat them so they’ll be top 10 but they’re likely not top 10 caliber either. Self fulfilling prophecy.

By the time fall camp starts, there are no fewer than 8 SEC teams that "should push for a CFB spot."

But, I enjoy it when the calendar turns to October. The cupcakes are done and everybody gets to see who's got what. Agree KY is not a Top 10 team. They're not bad... just not elite. That's most of the SEC. UGA looks legit. Bama deserves a little unearned credit. But you can't tell me that Appalachian State is some elite program just because they beat TX A&M in College Station. App State is a decent Sun Belt team that beat another way over-rated SEC team. But, hey, it just means more, right?

And I agree about KY... They are still very good, just not elite. They give everyone they play fits and probably would us as well their ranking is a result of Florida being overranked after the Utah win.

That being said, who else do you rank up there. You look at the other teams and not alot of choices. Many really good teams but little separation. If we are being honest with ourselves... Are we 5th?... I guess so but it's not like we are world beaters.

They try and throw Kentucky and Tennessee top 10 every year for no reason. They don’t ever win big games and get blowed out by teams that are actually tough. Texas A&M shouldn’t be ranked at all.
With all due respect I think Kentucky, Tennessee, and ole Miss should be ranked right now but not top 10 it should be UGA and Bama Top 2 and ole miss @ 14, Tennessee and Kent around 18-25. Also Arkansas shouldn’t be there ether after Missouri State or whatever almost beat them but they play in the west so they’ll lose their rankings by the end of the year.

They were largely that high due to beating Florida who beat an Utah team that was ranked in the top 10. Kentucky and Ole Miss may not be top 10 teams but the problem is finding teams outside the top 10 that are more deserving.
