Big fan of Lebron both on and off the court, but he was on the wrong side on this one. Wise to delete it, but the damage is done.
I’d encourage anyone who thinks he’s a thug or whatever to check out his philanthropic pursuits. He’s faithfully married to his high school sweetheart and is by all accounts a good father to his three children. I think a lot of us can respect that about him.

I disagree with most of his political opinions, I'm sure, and he made a bad tweet in this case, but from my observation, he appears to be a pretty decent person.
The fact that anyone ever says anything with his name next to Michael Jordan says all that needs to be said about his basketball game. He's a transcendent player.

LeBron is an incredible athlete and works very hard at his craft. He has every right to express himself on any and everything, but in the past seemed to care more about money than the dissidents in Hong Kong. He acted as if the Houston Rockets executive was ill informed to weigh in on the Chinese crushing dissent in Hong Kong.
He was the one who was ill informed on that subject. He now has weighed in on the latest shooting of a black individual by the police in a very inflammatory and threatening manner. This is completely irresponsible. He apparently has pulled down his comments.
Dang Psaki is more of a concern to me. Psaki should know better than to weigh in on a matter that has not been fully investigated. As the press secretary her words mean far more than LeBron's. What we do know is the deceased was attempting to stab another individual. It's always tragic when a young person loses their life, but had she not been lunging with a knife at another individual, this person would not be dead.
All the facts need to come in, but Psaki obliquely linking this police killing of a black teen as somehow a racist act is not productive. It is destructive. Police violence was meted out on this individual not because of the color of the deceased's skin, but because she was wielding a lethal weapon towards another individual.
Again, let all the facts come in, but this cop unlike Chauvin will probably benefit from the video evidence. The office of the President would be best served to issue a generic statement confirming that this is a tragedy, but that the investigation is just beginning. To link this tragedy to systemic racism is fanning the flames of division. I suspect the woman who was probably close to being stabbed has a different view on what occurred than Psaki.
