It's not just running down The Hill

What makes it exciting is not just running down The Hill - by itself. It's the whole process; the anticipation; the windup.

It's exciting because the clock on the board is counting down - the big screen is showing players and coaches leaving the West Zone facility, boarding the buses. "Everyone loaded up? Let's roll."

Then the police-escorted entourage leaves with lights flashing - moves all the way around to the Hill - bus doors open and players & coaches begin appearing at the top near Howard's Rock. Players standing there pumping up the crowd while being held while the band plays.

Finally the climax when the cannon fires and they charge down The Hill.

It's not just "25 seconds." It's like a theatrical play. A prelude. Then Act I boarding buses. Act II - a parade to the top of The Hill. Act III - off the buses & appearance at The Rock. Epilogue - running down The Hill to the band, the cannon & fireworks.

It's a full-blown production. That's what makes it the greatest entrance.

I've always wanted to be u there by the busses when they get off once but then I'd miss the kickoff and I cant do that

Been outside by buses next to HiLL entrance & inside by ROCK next to players..

and, they are BiG Boys..and, being just inside Stadium is best since they are even more hyped.

Once got to be on the field before an NFL game years ago. AMazing how big they are.

It’s awesome. I saw it in person for many years. Now I ski it on tv. I haven’t seen all the CFB entrances but can’t imagine anything eclipsing Clemson.
The next best I’ve seen on TV is Colorado. It’s pretty cool.
