Look, I’m not trying to make anyone question their beliefs or whatever, but let’s just make sure everyone has a few things straight before any sort of conversation is had about this thing. Regarding Maricopa county:

1. The county election board there does an initial, in house audit for accuracy on every election, and for elections that are close, there is a hand recount. Both of those were 100% accurate

2. Then, due to constant protests and action by state republican legislatures, the county hired two outside firms, both certified by US Election Assistance Commission, to do separate audits, each including searching for evidence of malicious software, hardware, source codes, internet connectivity, and accuracy. These two audits had observers from both parties, were live streamed, and found no issues with the election results

Not satisfied, a third audit is now being done at the behest of state Republican officials. The company doing this one is called CyberNinjas. It is owned by a man named Doug Logan, who before his twitter account was banned for promoting Q Anon material, posted and retweeted numerous false claims about election fraud and the election being stolen, including all of the Sidney Powell and Lin Wood conspiracy stuff. This man was in direct contact with Ron Watkins, the owner of 4-Chan turned 8-Kun, widely believed to be the person behind the actual Q posts. Watkins too seems to have become personally invested in this audit. Just to reiterate- this is literally a Q Anon backed audit.

The audit techniques they are using include the use of a UV lamp to detect for folds on envelopes and for traces of bamboo to prove that the ballots came from China, a technology developed by a man named Jovan Pulitzer, most famous for inventing a failed QR code scanner shaped like a cat, who turned into a treasure hunter and has featured on multiple History Channel shows discussing the Arc of the Covenant being buried in a hole off Nova Scotia, brought over by submarining Romans circa 200AD. I swear to God this is a real story.

This third audit is more about show than any sort of meaningful audit. The official audit twitter account (what) is picking fights with and trolling Arizona election officials, and boasting about how many followers it has. The Q pilled people on Telegram etc are watching live streams of this and doing their Q thing, baking some fun new conspiracies and all convinced this is the "first domino" that will see Trump rightfully reclaim his office. This charade has gone on for about three months now, and they’ve had to move locations several times because the first venue needed to host MonsterJam and other stuff like that. Gateway Pundit and all the other MAGA-sphere media is all over this, Trump is all over this.

Anyway, just thought everyone should understand the context of this audit and the background of the people involved. If anyone wants sources please just tel me what you consider reliable and I’ll find you some info if you want to read more.

There is no part of OAN or Newsmax that can co-exist indefinitely with the rest of us.

It is a militant, far-right perspective that preaches conspiracy theory and dangerous disinformation and is radicalizing the far right, and is taking advantage of its freedom of speech to try to rally people against democracy. It has no mechanism for self-correction and it negates truth, by design.

There's really not much room for co-existence with people who believe in its viewpoints, because they are called "Fascists." I know there's a thing called the "First Amendment." I also think those channels are bending the intent. The First Amendment was never intended to create a pointless and largely artificial insurgency for freaking TV ratings, or to sow this level of poisonous disinformation within our own culture. TV or Internet didn't exist when the Constitution was written. This has gone far beyond being a public disservice. What they're doing is actively dangerous.

There is a reason legitimate sponsors avoid those channels like the plague. Heck, even Fox is struggling to obtain legitimate corporate sponsorship these days because increasingly they are getting harder and harder to tell from OAN and Newsmax.

"Unbiased independents" who have never seen those channels before are horrified when they first turn them on. Foreigners who first turn those channels on are horrified.

That should tell you something. Those channels push a viewpoint that is simply incompatible with democratic (little-d) American values.
