He says there are no bad dogs just bad owners. He rehabilitates dogs and makes them great again blah blah blah. He has his own personal Pit Bul that he let's roam around his house etc. Queen Latifah had dropped her dog off there for training and Cesar's dog killed it. The only reason why I bring is because I was talking about Pit bul's in another thread. Also, his dog attacked a small female gymanast too. They suck too often. He is getting sued by both people. Why not just get a Lab or a Golden if you want a big dog? JMO

Exactly. I respect that people love their Pits and I have loved some of my friend's Pits. My good friends, this couple had a great Pit. Lola was her name. She was cool. Then they had a baby and the Pit got aggressive with their baby for some reason, so they had to get rid of their beloved Pit. Found her a new home.

Golden Retriever Bite Leaves Woman Permanently Injured
Jan 13, 2022, 2:58 PM
|
|
An oyster roast turned dangerous when a rescue dog attacked a guest of the event. Myrtle Beach Online reports that the woman was bitten as she bent down to pet and kiss the rescued Golden Retriever. As she cuddled the dog, it leaped forward, pouncing on her face and biting her eye and forehead. The woman suffered permanent injuries and scarring of her face. She has filed a lawsuit against the company hosting the event, as well as the venue for the oyster roast and the rescue organization responsible for the dog.

It is pretty telling though about the money grab she's conducting when she sues the freaking surfrider foundation.
Sucks that they'll likely spend more than they made from the fundraiser to defend this BS.

uncle's house in Blythewood maybe 15 years ago. They spoke to the rescue society, and the dog had escaped from a foster home. Rescue society told them to hold onto the dog to see if it was a match. Within the first day or two, he lunged at my mom's face and tried to do some serious damage. Fortunately, he missed, but they brought the dog back the next day. Some dogs are just wired weird, or went through something traumatic. The frequency of those "quirks" certainly varies across breeds, and is relatively very low in Goldens.

As it's lunging at your face, fangs bared, you just go "Tsssssst!!!" and give it a little pinch behind the ear. Instant good dog.

Kill a chicken or 5 and nothing you can do about it. Instinct kicks in and they become laser focused. You can’t really get mad at them because they look so proud when they bring it to you.
Which is why they are wonderful dogs

A Pit has the tools to do massive damage. A Chihuahua can and probably will lose their minds more than average Pit but just doesn't have the capability to do the damage. Every dog can snap and do harm.
Knew someone who had a Great Dane that had always been a gentle giant until she met some little yippy toy neighbor's dog, and it ended that dog's life in an instant.

My dog would never bite anyone, but the breed he is supposedly bite more often than Pits, but he doesn't have the hardware to hurt you. He is really nice dog. He is Dachshund. They supposedly bite. I take mine everywhere I go, the bar, trips, beach, you name it. He doesn't even bark. I am serious about that. I have only heard him bark when I have left him at home here and there and I return because I forgot something and he is barking for a short bit. More like howling. Anyway, dogs are awesome. No reason to freak anyone else out.

You could go that route.

Or, you could get a mountain lion, and then there's really no remaining speculation as to whether your pet may or may not attack and kill another pet or human. I think this is really more about removing all doubt, right?

But I've got a #### ton of experience with dogs, and I can say, while there may be no bad dogs, some dogs just don't like other dogs, and they'll kill over it. And you're not training that out of em.
That being said, my experience with pit bulls has been overwhelmingly positive and they're very lovable around people if raised right. We have a big beast on our street who loves everyone, and another neighbor picked up a pup who also adores people.
But sometimes they just meet a dog they hate, and you're not fixing that.

My buddy who is a vet in Charleston is great with animals, but he had an Australian Shepherd. They are kind of like collies...right? Anyway, some lady was walking and she came over to talk to my friend and say hello to the dog. She bent down to pet the dog and he bit her face an scarred it. She sued him, but the homeowner's insurance covered it. He put the dog down. Kind of sad. I leave other people's dogs alone unless they want to bring them over to meet my dog while I am out public.

I will let people bring their Pit over to my dog. You can tell by the way the owner is acting and if the dog is happy etc etc. It's just a vibe thing. I am just thinking big picture. When something goes wrong with a Pit something gets mauled or dies.

He's in love with the wife.
I am his chew toy.
He definitely responds to perceived aggression though. He always has to take it up a level if the other dog starts something. I think that's just his age / gender / breed. Hopefully.
Otherwise, he's just a big dork.
