It's a shame to read posts...

from so-called Tiger fans that are dumping on Brad Brownell AND basketball program after a loss. There is good talent on this team...better talent will continue to come if Brad continues to be HC and gets support he needs.
UNC, Duke, NCST, WF have had strong BB programs for many years...CU has not supported the BB program as these schools. This now appears to be changing...it would be great to see more patience as you can't expect instant results.
Go Tigers!

Compare it to the FSU loss in football.
It's not that we lost, but how bad we look in losing.
Like the football game, this one was over long before the first half ended.

I know it sux....

to lose as that...I believe emphasis on BB program is truly changing now and Tiger BB will get better if support is given to this coach...and the team. I don't understand how some forget the history of BB program...CU has been a football/baseball/golf school for many years...believe they will add BB to list in the near future.

Agree. Sometimes you have to crawl a long way before you can walk.
I thought two in a row road wins was a step forward.
Today they were playing a better team of basketball players. Add to that they did not seem to play intense defense. Bad combination.

Until we can recruit and sign ACC level players, we will not

Jan 26, 2014, 9:55 PM

be able to compete consistently in the ACC.

At least 90%-95% or more of the players we are able to sign at Clemson were not recruited at all by the top ACC schools. Guys like KJ McDaniels were not even on the Duke/UNC radar in high school.

And until we have a University administration, an Athletic Department and a fan base that is willing to support the program EMOTIONALLY and FINANCIALLY to the extent necessary to get to that level, we will continue to struggle.

Sadly for most of those now watching Clemson hoops, even if we have a complete turnaround in support for the program from the University, the Athletic Department and the fans ... it will be years before the fruits of that support pay off.
