It's a shame...

Its a shame that Clemson fans seem intent to focus on the negative totally ignoring the positive.

Just won a natty in cheer (I know its cheer but should be celebrated)
Women's soccer is ranked #1
Men's soccer is top 10
Golf is ranked in the top 3 per Sagarin/Golf week rankings
Softball is top 20 and likely headed to hosting a regional/super regional

While its true that Baseball is average this year and basketball is actually better than historical average this past year there is plenty to be excited in Tiger town right now.

Wondering why so many are focused on negative or perceived negative instead of the positive?

Amen to that even though I'm disappointed with the baseball team.

Baseball is way below average.

There is no energy around the program (as with basketball). It's dead.

Case in point: could have said something positive about the good things happened but chose to go/stay low

A vast majority of Clemson fans are very pleased with out Sports Programs. We just don't hop the Net and voice our pleasure like many of the nay sayers do.

People love to live in the negative, so anything to the contrary is sometimes laughed/mocked or frowned upon.

Have you watched softball.Lots of energy.Love to watch this team play.Even though its a low scoring sport the soccer teams play hard with energy. The mens golf team has won three out of four tournaments which is really hard to do against 14 to 15 other teams that includes a lot of ranked teams including the #1 and #4 ranked teams.I think they deserve our full support and encouragement even though baseball not at its best.

Soccer, Softball, and Golf have been awesome!

I think you can blame it all on people's propensity to make sweeping generalizations about other people they don't really know.

But I agree, it seems like it’s easier for most of us to be negative rather than positive.

Men at 25 play football. Men at 40 play tennis. Men at 60 play golf. Have you noticed as men get older their balls get smaller.

Slight correction - Men's soccer is #1, women's is Top 10.***

Once the regionals start. It’ll be very cool to follow them in the regionals in their first full season

Men's Track & Field is currently ranked 15th in the country but no one seems to care about that.

Is is wrong to want the basketball program to be as good as many of the other programs If we competed in marbles I would want the Tigers to be the best days a 55 year fan??

If you’re happy with BB and Baseball which are 2 of the most important sports. Then you are truly not a real Clemson fan . Clemson baseball is quickly become a shell of a once great program.
I am pulling for CML to get this thing going but I really doubt he does. If what I believe happens the rest of this season, next season his seat will be on fire.
He will have just about everyone back next year and there will be no excuses.
Basketball has hit its peak with CBB and nobody really cares anymore.

Another example of bypassing the chance to celebrate/praise/be happy and instead chose to whine...

Nope, I enjoy the success that most of the Clemson programs are having I really do .
But
When it’s getting to the point where I hardly even watch Baseball and Basketball , when I don’t even think about planning trips to go see them.
When the room is stale , something is wrong.

You don't understand the increased focus on more popular sports? It's not rocket science.

While I’m extremely excited that the cheerleaders won a National Championship, and can’t wait to read about TL getting a toaster for a wedding gift, and what was on the wedding menu, I’d love to hear about what’s going on with the baseball team. What players are injured, how long will they be out, what’s Monte doing to fix some of their issues?
Also, going to basketball, how’s Brownell dealing with the transfers and what he plans on doing next season, as far as recruiting?
I think the softball team is doing great, especially in their 2nd season. But basketball and baseball are pretty popular sports and fans have concerns, hence they come onto the boards to ask questions and see what other fans think.

I've asked these questions several times. I've posted about good series wins, even posted about several outstanding plays during said games. No response. Questions never asked during monte's presser. Always try to point skeeta56 for posting pics etc. Teo's one of my favorite players. Now, that said, I've also tried to have productive discussions on how to get Clemson bball and baseball to elite statuses...

Bball never has been but people expect baseball to win and go to Super regionals and oçasionally make it to Omaha. Posted on another thread it's not rocket science, it all comes back to recruiting. Here's my question, Monte has had top 20 classes. The rub seems to be the players don't develop next level skills. Still wave bye as strike 3 sails in the mitt.

Former Clemson player commented Sunday that hitters are still trying to pull outside corner breakers. If the hitters continue that approach, bench em like Dabo does.

Did Gilbert serve up meat with 0-2 count, yes but I'm sure it was a mistake. He's good. But when are we going to get a closer like that kid from coastal who almost never gave up a crucial hit. Monte said all the right stuff in Sunday's presser, but darn it, he's said it several years in a row.

True story, friends with one of ty's good friends mother, she really likes Monte and is shocked on this season. Said something is wrong... Idk. Hack alluded to teammates not being selfish. Made me wonder if they're not morale problems. I love it too much to see us in the shape we're in.

Btw - Ty's pitching tomorrow. He'll be pitching against a couple buds on their teams. Go Ty!!!

simple really. clemson, like most other schools has a block of walmart fans that will never be happy. they even call out football coaches when things are not going well. they are very sad individuals that just can not be happy no matter the success. there was one guy that called wccp hoping that we would lose in the regionals so possibly coach would be fired. these people are an embarrassment to the school i have been going to games to since 1963. very sad.
