Is Mito Pereira going to be the new Rich Beem? He is leading

the PGA by 3 shots. I honestly never heard of him before this week.

He's got one big advantage over Rich Beem back in 2002. Tiger Woods ain't directly chasing him, that's for sure.

It would truly be an upset if he brings it home. Although he

is 27 years old, stats say this is only his second year on the PGA Tour full time. He finished 180th in the FedEx standings last year, but is 46th so far this year. Best ever finish in a Tour event is a 3rd in the Fortinet Championship last September.

All that being said, I expect the pressure to get to him tomorrow. Abraham Ancer, sitting in 5th, is the highest guy who has ever won a Tour event, and he has only done it once.

There is a pretty good trio lurking at -2, in Stewart Cink, Justin Thomas, and Bubba Watson.

True. But the weight of that word "Major" seems to give

young guns who have never won one, or have not to this point even won a REGULAR tour event, a severe case of the "Cotton Mouth".

If I had to pick one of those to win it tomorrow, it would be Will Zalatoris. He has a really solid ball striking game. And, in the crucible heat of the final round of a Major, the old "fairways and greens" mantra will take him a long way.
