What would the Dolphins have to give to get Deshaun?

Jan 10, 2021, 3:37 PM

2 first rounders and Tua? They have 2 first rounders this year. Houston has none of course.

What do you think?

Depends on how Free Agency goes.

Miami needs some help on offense at RB and Oline. From what I read the Phins have a healthy cap situation but that won't last forever.

We have some solid receiving options but need at least 1 more talented WR. They are a relatively young WR core and there have been flashes (same with the RBs) but not enough to go toe-to-toe with the elite squads in a shootout.

As a young Phins fan (I was single digits the last of Marino's years), I'm pretty pumped to see this squad become respectable again. Coach Flo has got the ship going in the right direction.

IMO if DW4 went to Miami and the Dolphins take another step this offseason, this is definitely a playoff team that could even be a dark horse for the Super Bowl...but they gotta get a little more help on offense so I think serious Super Bowl contention may be a 2022 season thought.

As a life long Dolphins fan, I have waited for years to see Miami actually have a legitimate franchise quarterback. Watson would be just that. Watson would be the boost that Miami needs on offense to make a serious run for a few seasons. The Miami defense is young, but they are legit. The special teams is very good as well. ..

Watson makes the players around him a lot better m We already know this. A lot of Miami fans rather keep Tia because they say Watson is injury prone. Haven't figured that one out yet. Especially with Tua being as injury prone as they come ..

Miami should be able to get Watson for this year's 3rd pick, which was Houston's to begin with , a 2nd round pick this year and Tua. ..

If not, then the max I would go if I were the Dolphins would be the 3rd this year, another first next year, a 2 nd this year and Tua. That should get it done and not handicap what Miami wants to do ...

Crossing my fingers that Watson lands in Miami and Tua gets sent in the deal. So tired of those Tua lovers who are just basically alabama fans.

Your best season in four years was because of Tua. Can’t believe you won’t give him a year or two to get the Fins to the SB.

opportunistic defense and special teams play at times. I'm not saying I'm not willing to give Tua a chance because I'm not so sure that Chan Gailey want holding Tua back, but DW4 is a proven commodity, Tua has allot to prove.

Do what? You can't be serious. You didn't watch any Dolphins games, I know that for a fact. If you had, you wouldn't even consider saying something that ignorant.

Tua had stats that looked better than his performances, without question. Tua was constantly bailed out by the defense scoring or both the defense and special teams scoring. Then Fitz has to come in and try to save the day because Tua had the Dolphins in a hole.

Tia is a weak armed system QB who looked good at Alabama because he had 4 1st round WRs. He was exposed in the NFL.

Miami needs a QB who can lead the team and carry the team if need be. Like Watson. They don't need a QB that has to have the team carry him, like Tua.

You go back and take away the defensive scoring, the special teams scoring and Ftiz's comebacks and Tua has a 3-6 record at best, and that's being generous. His 6-3 record as a starter wasn't because of Tua.

Best season in 4 years due to Tua, lmao.

If they are still as dumb as they were trading Hopkins, Miami could get him for a couple of 3rd round draft picks. ??

This ^^^. This is Houston we are talking about. Miami already got them once. I wouldn't be shocked if Houston gave Miami their first in '23, plus Two 3rd rounders and Watson for Tua.????

I think they could get him for their 1st round pick this year (18?), Houston’s 2nd this year, and Tua.

Houston doesn't have as much leverage as some would think. Tua, a first this year and next.
