A couple more meaningless observations from today's game.

1) DJ seemed to revert to his "concrete shoes" passing persona today. His feet not moving at all led to the same old inaccuracy we saw before he got out of that.
2) We are all lamenting why we didn't try to throw it more, but it seemed like every time DJ DID throw it today, it was a pick waiting to happen. We were very fortunate there were not more than there were. He had several close calls that scared the bejeebers out of me when they happened.
A bonus observation. Streeter gave away first down by running Ship straight up the gut on MANY occasions today. When we got the ball OUTSIDE the tackles the run game was working. Why did we not stick with that, instead of trying to stuff it up the gut for near zero yards?

This has been the pattern all year to run up the middle on first down. If my wife who hates football knows that then any coach who is breathing knows that.
