Re: Happy Solid Orange Friday! Your Veteran On TPS Sat

I am so proud and thankful for all the things Clemson does to recognize and honor our veterans. Every veteran I know is humble, proud to have served, and devoted to this country. They gave everything but receive so little in return. I am struck by their patriotism every time I see them wearing hats with their units and the wars they fought in, some so thread bare they are almost falling apart. Without them we would not be able to post our thoughts and opinions on T net, fly our beautiful American flag as the band plays and we sing our national anthem, or sit under the beautiful autumn sky in Death Valley to cheer on our Tigers. It is my prayer that every veteran will feel our deepest and heartfelt appreciation for their service and sacrifice for our freedom. And now, Let’s Go Get ‘em Tigers!!!

For ROTC at Clemson several years ago. 2 tours in Afghanistann where he received not only a Purple Heart, but two Bronze Stars, one of them with Valor . But what is really remarkable to me is that after graduating from Wofford College and successfully working in the financial investment field for three years, JD then decided he wanted to serve. He put his life and those of the men he led in the line for all of us. He his a Tiger all the way.
