Gotta love these kids that are 1000% ALL IN. Get about 15 to 20 good pounds and keep his speed, he can definitely blow up some plays. Like having an extra safety on the field that's a thumper too.

Just love these 'hybrid' type players like Kobe McCloud.
Today's sophisticated and versatile college FB offenses requires the successful D to have really good hybrid Safety / OLB type players.
They don't all have to be big guys like Isiah Simmons or Trenton Simpson to make a big contribution.
It may be a stretch to expect K.McCloud to play as many meaningful snaps as a true FR in 2022 that Barrett Carter played in 2021, but a fast & smart thumper like K.McCloud is likely to be a big contributor starting in 2023 or 2024.

The article said that he also had offers from Miami, BC, Iowa State, Syracuse, Coot U and Indiana. Not sure why he picked FIU. I am not going to try to tell you how underrated he is and that he will be a difference maker like some here, because I doubt that he will. This part of the recruiting season is kind of like the latter rounds of the NFL draft where you are looking for the "best available" talent that has not been picked up. You don't just forego the pick because they are more likely to flop than to succeed, much less excel. You get the best guys that you can and see what they become.
You and I will be right about more of the final half of the recruits that we pick up, but the there has never been a Clemson commit that wasn't destined for the HOF crowd will be right about a couple. Maybe Kobe McCloud will be that guy. No I am not optimistic about him personally, but I am optimistic that the staff has not given up on this class, and are busting their butt to finish out as strong as possible. Somebody will come out of these later commits, and we will hear about them every time that we get an unheralded recruit for years.

He will make a bigger impact than his brother did & stay for 4 years! This kid can play because he knows football because his dad being a coach it will make him a very smart & versatile LB!
This is a very underrated recruit for sure, he’ll have a chip on his shoulder!
Our class this year will surprise us for years to come, these guys have a lot to prove.
The two CB’s we lost will hurt but the coaches have done a great job working to get some guys with great potential because we are a “development program” as Dabo says!
We keep getting better and better everyday in Every way! Tigers DOMINATE AGAIN!
