Trump and his strategy group were pushing the idea of disrupting the filing of electoral votes as a way to disrupt the process
Their theory was to object and prevent the ballots from being filed. That was the purpose of the insurrectionists. To steal the actual ballots. Fortunately some interns collected them and saved them.
However if they had not, the insurrections would have stolen and destroyed them which in theory would allow trump to declare martial law and suspend the certification of the election thus preventing Biden from being president
So absolutely yes our democracy was in danger. These individuals killed people and threatened to hang the VP and Speaker of the House. All the while Trump sat and watched them do his bidding.
Would his plan have worked? I don’t know. I don’t think so but the possibility was there. And the fact we even have to consider it is treasonous on Trump and his advisors. Shame on you.

I think you're overestimating (for sake of stubbornness and denial) the power of a bunch unorganized rioters to seriously put our democracy in danger. Crazy hyperbole doesn't endear yourself to rational people who can think objectively.

I have stated before. There were innocents caught up in this. Like any mob.
But there was a small group of highly organized, well prepared individuals who used the collective disorderly mob to achieve their plan of storming the capitol and stealing the electoral votes. And possibly worse. This is a fact.
I mean if you can assert hunter and joe are master criminals then you surely can believe that trump and his team are too! Or are you saying that the bidens are criminal geniuses and trumps a dolt?

Yes, Miura was there in spirit, watching my fellow patriots make fools of themselves. But being a fool is not a crime. You of all people would know that, eh?
I tuned in early as I always enjoy a massive out of control, but not serious, trespassing event...especially one that triggered the unhinged Dem snowflakes and derailed them for 12 months. What could be more entertaining? It was beautiful and ridiculously sad, all at the same time.
Will there be more leading up to the mid-term massacre of the Dems? We can only hope the Dems, who are only complaining about Pubs & Trump, rather than fixing & uniting America. Bad look, guys; very bad. A prelude to getting wiped out in 22 & 24? Of course.
