The board tonight is exactly what the creators of the CFP’s

Wanted, discussion and debate to drive interest in college football. It’s why they created a playoff system with no rules or qualifying criteria, the selection process is 100% subjective. Even the YMCA T-Ball league has rules and set criteria. This entire system was developed to try and drive TV rating, because college football doesn’t draw large numbers of viewers, the BAMA/LSU game will draw less than half the TV audience of a typical Sunday afternoon NFL game. Hopefully college football will reach the popularity nationally that it no longer needs WWE style marketing tactics.

It is also what the fans wanted.

With the BCS fans were upset about the computers having biased programs that led to unfair rankings. Fans didn't want "some machine" telling us who was better. Fans demanded that humans, who were far better at judging the quality of a football team because they could use "subjective criteria" must replace the computers.

No fans wanted a real playoff system with rules

And criteria, not a reality TV style selection process.

The sad thing is they set up criteria, but do not use it consistently. How they weigh things changes year to year, and even team to team within a given year.

The committee has no set criteria, that’s my point. If the committee wanted to place an 8-4 team in the playoffs there are rules to prevent the selection. They only have non binding guidelines that they can choose not to follow, its ESPN Reality TV. The entire system is a joke.

It is certainly 100% subjective.***

And that is with the backups etc etc playing 30 to 40 percent in many of the games.

Ped State won't even be in the discussion... If they are,

then 0-31-0 State has been eliminated...
