I think it's a little Streeter and the fact that Cole had a month to heal that shoulder.
At least I'm really believing that shoulder was a lot of his problems this year.

He hasn't been able to complete any passes downfield against a FBS opponent since October, and even then he was still throwing interceptions and dropped interceptions more than he was completing it downfield to our guys. Morris got to the point where he wouldn't even call a play other than screen passes with Cole at QB. There have been several downfield completions tonight. He's only thrown 4 incompletions in 19 tries with 2 TD's.
His rating is 191.9, which would be the best in the country if he was able to do it for an entire season.

Several factors: he's healthy, I think streeter is that good, new play callers.

I think it is mostly that for the first time since very. early in the year, Cole is healthy. It may have been in mop up duty but people tend to forget (mostly due to his poor play this year) that Cole holds the Clemson record for single game passing accuracy.. Having Streeter work with him hasn't hurt either nor has the game plan from Elliott and Scott.

Streeter, Elliott and Scott must have helped Cole's confidence greatly. He looks like a completely different young man! I hope this continues, I am just so delighted! Haven't seen any Coot Trolls either, life is good right now!!! Go Tigers!l

man, or Cole has had the most amazing turnaround for a QB that I can remember. After the first half against UGA, he has looked lost almost the entire year, especially following losing his job after the FSU game.
I would have been happy just seeing him throw the ball more than 5 yards downfield with some completions and no interceptions. I definitely didn't expect him to come out and play as well as he has.

imo, cole knows he does not have someone looking over his shoulder to come in the game. He is more relaxed and not worried about making mistakes. It was all in his head that one mistake and that is it

I think that definitely had a lot to do with it. Once he lost his confidence, he couldn't get back on track. I'm sure it didn't help that the fanbase started to turn on him after Deshaun made that great throw against Peake in the first half against UGA. His lack of confidence combined with his shoulder injury doomed him for the year.
