It ALL comes down to beating the coots!

Nov 23, 2014, 12:40 PM

Yesterday was an incredible atmosphere for military appreciation day and senior day. No school does it better than Clemson when it comes to honoring vets. I was also happy that Cole got a good cheer from the crowd and I didn't hear anyone boo him. He deserved support from Tiger nation. And so did all of our seniors. I was very pleased with the Clemson defense. They've been impressive all year and are truly one of the best defenses we've had since the Danny Ford era.

Now we've got the coots coming to town. This is the biggest game of our year, and truly this game is make or break for this year. I'm sick and tired of losing to those a$$ clowns for the past 5 years. We have no excuse for losing this year. None at all. The 6-5 coots are mediocre. So the "this is the best era in South Carolina football" line isn't going to cut it (though it has been legitimate for the previous 3 years). Should we lose on Saturday, the fault will entirely lie on Dabo's shoulders. I like Dabo and am proud of all he has done for Clemson and the way he represents the university. I hope he's at Clemson for a long long time. But his stubborn refusal to play anyone other than Cole Stoudt at the quarterback position is nauseating. South Carolina is not just another game. Why on earth not give our back ups more of an opportunity in a tune up game where the outcome was never in doubt??? I'm not saying they would do any better, but after Stoudt's performance this year, there is no risk whatsoever in testing the waters a little bit. Give someone else a shot! Heck, let some of our defensive backs run the wildcat! Throw the kitchen sink out there!!!

I cannot comprehend how the coaching staff entered this season with only 1 serviceable quarterback, and that being a true freshman. If Watson can't go and Dabo plays Cole Stoudt the whole game against the coots, we will probably lose. And probably by multiple scores. If that happens, it's Dabo's fault.

Desperate times call for desperate measures, and I don't see any desperation from Dabo.

I HOPE I'M WRONG! I'll be there cheering for the Tigers regardless!

You didn't see anyone booing Cole because you, like me, was actually AT the game surrounded by true Clemson family. Some of the clowns on Tigernet talking about booing Cole are nothing more than Monday morning QBs who have never played a down of football in their lives or have never even sat their fat ##### in DV. Kudos to you for telling it like it is.

GO TIGERS!
