Is this the first time that we’ve had 2 OL

playing in the super bowl? We haven’t had many OL that have gone on to play on the nfl so I’m thinking this will be a first but not for sure.

Probably, Jeff Bostic played in multiple Super Bowls, but don't remember any other OL of ours playing against him. Hopefully this will help in recruiting and we do have several playing in the NFL now.

i was thinking the same thing; not bad for a program that cannot (supposedly) put OL in the NFL.

When I was a Tiger student back in the Middle Ages coach Howard always found a few Pennsylvania coal miners to play in the offensive line. They were big, tough guys and a few were able to stick in the NFL for a few years. The Cardinals had a Tiger center who played for them for several years and the was a very good player. My aging brain can’t come up with a name but I bet some will remember him.

Joe Bostic was a great O-lineman for the Cardinals in the late 70s-80s.

Wasn’t Bostic. He’s a Greensboro boy who I was very familiar with. Actually two brothers . Joe and Jeff

Was there a Mulligan who played for the Cards.

I just looked it up. It was Wayne Mulligan. Seven years in the NFL.

Good call and I just looked it up we have 5 OL in NFL right now Jackson, Anhcrum, Hyatt, Shatley and Simpson.

We have pic of Jeff at fan day holding our 2 year old daughter. She is now grown with 3 kids of her own.

She is a counselor at a school that routinely sends a few kids a year to major college programs in football and hoops. Ultimately several have gone on to the pros also.

Right now there are kids at or going to Duke, NW, Rutgers, ND and Mich St from the HS. Rutgers head coach was in the school in early Dec and thanked her for getting their signee prepared to enroll early. She gave credit to the student and his work ethic. But as a dad I can say she is very invested and committed to her students.

Maybe back in late 70's or early 80's when we had such good lines especially the Bostic brothers.

The two Bostic brothers and Steve Kenney from the 77 & 78 teams all had long NFL careers.
