I just looked at a house that had been "old man'd" up.

Apr 8, 2021, 3:15 PM

And I say "old man'd up" in the sense of too much time and money, and not enough to actually do other than add stuff noone needs. And I don't mean the house was junky or cluttered, but if you walked in that house with any more than clothes or a few pillows, it would have been.

The house was small--a little under 1300 ft^2. I thought it was going to be about twice that much, but found out differently when I got there. Every room had a TV--including the kitchen, the boat shed, and the back porch. There was a sink in the 1.75 car garage..and on the back porch, and in the boat shed. The garage had 3 refrigerators in it, and was air conditioned. Nest thermostats (yes, TWO). The yard shed had buried electrical and compressed air connections going to it. EVERYWHERE had air compressed air connections going to to. It had about 20x10 grass, and the rest of the yard was concreted, with multiple 8' gates.

And cameras--cameras everywhere. He had more available camera perspectives (inside and out) than most pr0n movies do. And I've never seen so many different ways to cook. He had BGE's, Blackstones, Weber grills and even a deep fryer strewn all over the back yard. One bedroom was completely dedicated to computers. I've worked in actual datacenter NOCs that didn't have that many monitors, and of course, another TV or two.

Some of the stuff I mentioned isn't shown in the zillow pics. His datacenter isn't near as busy here as it is in real life.

And that price..lulz..just lulz.

lulz @ 1.75 car garage.

And for the love of god people, please stop installing mosaic tiles.

Its a little busy in there, huh?

Apr 8, 2021, 3:29 PM

I had a headache when I left that place. I felt like I had been spun around in circles.

Not one, but two geezer handles in the shower? Nice.

is that a WalMart loading dock about 50' of the back porch?

Apr 8, 2021, 3:26 PM

yeah, that won't be a nuisance.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Thats exactly what it is***

and those sweet, calming air brakes.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

And there is a pretty good thoroughfare to some apts about 75'

Apr 8, 2021, 3:31 PM [ in reply to Thats exactly what it is*** ]

away at the end of the road.

And this guy wants $830K for the house right next to the old man house (A fence away from the Apt thoroughfare)..and it doesn't even have a driveway.

In pic 26 and 27 you can see where the car is parked, there is a path the the apartment dwellers can get back to the road they walk their dogs on.

Nothing like having apartment dwellers walking 50' in front of your house all day and night.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

prolly a shortcut to WalMart cut in the back fence

Apr 8, 2021, 3:40 PM

for said apartment dwellers.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I'm sure, somewhere.

Apr 8, 2021, 3:43 PM

I get the sense that this guy won't be having that, and would probably fight someone if they used 1/2" of his property without his expressed permission, every time.

Prob wouldn't be a good neighbor to FBCoachSC®

catamaran in that shed. I guess as you get older, a smaller boat becomes easier to handle.

Is that a dying carp in the green fish tank?

And dude hangs up his JEANS??? For the love of all that's holy, who in their right mind hangs up jeans?

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Not much room to do much else with them.

Apr 8, 2021, 3:45 PM

From the huge oversized dark oak furniture to the little bitty "bedrooms", I dunno where else you'd put them.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

People don't hang up jeans?

Apr 8, 2021, 3:48 PM [ in reply to Re: I just looked at a house that had been "old man'd" up. ]

All my jeans are hung up. So are all my t-shirts. The only clothes in the dresser are draws, socks and some b-ball shorts for hanging around the house/yard work.

Re: People don't hang up jeans?

Apr 8, 2021, 3:55 PM

Well, I maybe I'm the weird one here. Jeans get folded and put in dresser drawer. I do hang up T's though, so they don't get wrinkled.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I think the 4 pair of jeans I have are folded in either in a

closet, or a dresser drawer. I'm looking at one pair sitting on the bed in my office, so there are 3 other pair doing something...but not hanging up.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

why don't you hang your undies?

I'll not dignify that question with a resp...

Okay. I do hang up my undies. But just the boxers, not the briefs.
