Is Sammy the best WR in Clemson history?

I think so. Nuk, Jacoby, Aaron Kelly, Dwight, Rod, Perry, Jerry Butler are the only other ones that come to mind but I think Sammy is.

Jerry Butler was good, but he wasn't on Watkins level

Watkins is #1, just a freak talent. I think Terry Smith woulda been unreal in this offense too.
#1 Watkins #2 Rod Gardner #3 Hopkins #4 Butler #5 Terry Smith #6 Tuttle #7 Kelly #8 Clark #9 Ford #10 Hamilton

Butler play. The passing game was different when he and Fuller played but he was a first-class receiver. It's not an accident he's in our ROH.
For his day, he was just as good IMO.

in Willy Brice. Made the drive home a piece of cake. But Jerry was not as good as Sammy by quite a bit. One of only three players to make consensus AA his freshman year says it all.

Sammy doesn't have to handle a triple team, he just out runs 2 of them.

Sammy is faster but NUK had better hands and was more of a clutch receiver

Jerry Butler vs. New York Jets
Player: Jerry Butler, WR (Buffalo Bills) When: Sept. 23, 1979 The prevailing thought about wide receivers in the NFL is that you need to allow them some time to develop, and they generally break out in their third year. That was not the case with Bills rookie receiver Jerry Butler, who decided to step up and have a career day in his first month as a pro. Butler caught 10 passes for 255 yards and four touchdowns against the Jets. In the second quarter, Butler caught scoring two scoring passes, and in the third quarter, he came back with two more touchdown catches. In fact, Butler scored four straight touchdowns for the Bills in the game, which allowed them to win 46-31. Quite a day for a first-month rookie indeed.
