Is Myles Murphy hurt?

He does not seem to be able to wrap someone up when he tackles. Don’t understand how Jurkovec got away from him.

That was weird. Still ok to wrap him up.

As a co-starter, Murphy is disrespected IMHO

Possibly the best co-starter in the history of college football as a 1st round NFL pick ... But agree letting go of the QB is hard to explain.

Nothing at all hard to explain. It was explained higher up. He thought he threw the ball. The game doesn’t allow for hits and tackles any more

I would disagree. He is a 1st round projection who does not flash on film. He has the potential but this year has not been a factor on many plays.

Heard his name a few times last night, so he may be waking up.

Act like you pay attention instead of bashing on a kid, Jstoner.

I guess Dabo was bashing him when he specifically called him out for loafing earlier this year? My comment was a 5* top 10 draft pick should flash often where even the average fan will notice him. This average fan has not seen him flash very often. If you were drafting players off our D (all classes) based on production this year he would not be in the top six.
BTW not bashing if it’s true. Perhaps there is something else going on …

I swear 80% of the people on TNET don't even really watch the game.
He let the QB go because he thought he got rid of the ball and didn't want a roughing the passer penalty. You can obviously see that by his body language and how he was looking downfield on the replay of that exact play. It's not like Murphy said "F it! I hate Clemson and I'm gonna half-a** every play."
Everyone please copy and paste this for the next person to ask or bash Murphy please. Tired of having to post this.

I saw several Tigers including Davis, Ruke, XT and Henry hit the QB after he passed the ball. Quit making excuses and assuming because you DON'T stop until the whistle blows.

You absolutely DO stop before the whistle blows.

There’s no whistle when a QB throws the ball and if he thought that the ball was gone, I’m glad he thought to let-up. Now, coaching him to identify if the ball is gone or not…sure that would be great. But you can’t wait to hear a whistle when you’re going after the QB.

likely because Murphy (and subsequently every other member of the defense) got reminded after that play (3rd play of the game if I recall correctly) to knock the slobber out of the quarterback if he has the ball and you're within a couple steps of him.

Discovering the game of football for the first time is exciting for many people. If you continue to watch with interest and intention you may even come to grasp some of its many nuances.
