As much as I like Kevin Spacey, he is NOT convincing as a Sakerlinian. Sorry. He just does not have the accent or anything else down. And just like when Anthony Bourdain drank mint juleps in Charleston (which we don't do in SC), it irked me when he ate bbq ribs and said it was all about SC. That is NOT an SC bbq staple.

Those minor quibbles aside, the show itself seems pretty good. And Kate Mara? Where did she come from? Nice.

yeah shes smoking...shes the chic from we are Marshall. Yeah it has some detail flaws. It seems like anytime they do a show bout southernerers they tend to lump us all together and use stereotypes. But aside from that its pretty good

Remarkable symmetry in style (the lead's asides to the camera, the wife, the political shenanigans, the sweeping shots of London and the HP and DC). The originals always tend to be better, but I will probably wind up watching both.

Neither is as good as Downton Abbey, but I digress...

Yeah...not sure why the television and movie industry constantly does that...My girlfriend made me watch some show called heart of dixie with her and it made me furious couldnt watchmuch of it.It was very degrading of southerners imo
