Is it just me or does EVERY offense i see on TV today look better than us all season. They are completing downfield passes and everything....
I love Clemson, I always have and I always will. But it is hard to watch them the last couple of years. There is no joy in watching them. Only fear of them losing. I never felt that with DW4 or Trevor. I always felt we could beat anyone. Now I feel we could lose to anyone at any time. I find myself holding my breath and just wanting the game to be over with a win so I can enjoy watching the other games.

Hopefully, once Dabo is done with his DJ psych experiment and his Friends and Family hiring plan, Clemson will be back in business. But not before then.

I feel exactly the same way. I sometimes ask myself why am I punishing myself every Saturday. I have gotten very little enjoyment out of the games even when we win it feels like we lost.
I've said this before. It's because the standard has changed form 2014 to 2020. Clemson was being spoken of as a dynasty by sports media talking heads. It was Clemson and Alabama and everyone else was way behind. In two years we went from a top two team to top 4. In another 2 years we went from top four to top 14. Monday's ranking will probably have Clemson around #15. If this keeps up in another 2 years well be just another top 25 team.
It doesn't take long to go from a perennial powerhouse to a middling team Just ask Auburn, Nebraska, Penn State, Florida State, Miami, Florida, Tennessee (until this year), Texas, Texas A&M, USC (until this year) etc...
When you miss on a QB and to make matters worse can't admit that you missed on the QB you recruited it just magnifies the mistake. To fix a problem you first have to admit there is a problem. From the interviews today it seems neither Dabo nor Streeter have admitted that yet. That is insanity!
Teams used to be afraid of us before we even stepped on the field. We were so explosive on offense with big passing and running plays. Along with a dominant defense. Now teams with a pulse that have a decent QB that is accurate can gives us a run for our money and even beat us. mainly because they have figured out how to stop our offense. It all starts with the QB no matter what Dabo and Streeter are saying. If teams cover DJ's primary target he can't go to the second read. He just stares him down. The few times he does go to the second read it is too late. He holds on to the ball too long. Defenses know if they pressure him he folds like a cheap lawn chair. You can actually see it happening right in front of your eyes but nothing can be done to stop it except run the ball. And therein lies the problem. Sometimes, like today we just stop running the ball even thought it's working. Other times we can't run the ball because opposing defenses stack the box and dare us to pass. But DJ is not good at reading defenses. Is slow to react And his first few steps are extremely slow. Clemson's offense has to have a fast mobile QB. It alwys has had that during this 7 year run. Until 2021.

Pretty much. One think that makes them look better is they don't have a QB who is the slowest man on the team. Watching DJ makes me want puke. He nauseates me.

Dabo unfortunately lost a lot of love today. His loyalty probably cost him a future because it doesn't matter if you cant beat the coots
