Is Dexter Lawrence a bigger stronger Christian Wilkins?

He's obviously larger and stronger, but he seems to have the same great quick feet that Christian has. He'll be dominant as soon as he sets foot on campus.
I am really excited about the talent and depth we will have on defense next year to go with what we know will be an extremely talented offense. But, on defense, we should have some bullies that will rag doll your ####.

He is deceivingly fast, I think he runs a sub-5 fourty yard dash. Looks like he's going to be a monster.

Barton S said... (original post) "Lawrence and Rashan are a lot closer than most people probably realize. The odd thing about Gary is that opposing high school coaches don't rave about him. Reminds me some of Byron Cowart in that regard."

At the Army All-American practices......

......they would line position groups up and the players would run a 40 against each other at the same time and Dexter won for the East side and it wasn't even close. As far as measurements he is bigger but don't have enough information to say one way or the other if he is stronger or faster. I do know the DT position at Clemson is freaking stacked with 4 and 5 star players. If opposing teams gain a yard up the middle I would be extremely surprised.....

Stronger and a bit faster. I believe he will break the 2 deep immediately and have a better freshman year than Wilkins

Nyles Pickney looks like he will be a stud at DT. Might take a little bit longer for him to develop but i see him wrecking havoc on opposing offenses as well

I'm really glad they let kids enroll early. With a spring of workouts and adjustment to college life, he is going to be well seasoned by the time the football season comes around. This DT group is going to be awesome to watch.

Where does Huggins fall in all of this? What if we also somehow land Gary? I've heard he is athletic enough to play DE. A starting front 4 of Bryant/Huggins, Watkins/Lawrence, Pagano/Wilkins, Gary/Clelin is just lethal and leaves so many others to be back ups. We still have Yeargin, Robinson, Sterling Johnson, Cervenka, Dane Rogers, and can't forget Xavier Kelly. That is just a load of talent.

Good luck finding another 6'4 340 pound monster that can run like this.
Shouldn't be too hard to figure out which one Lawrence is.

I was thinking... One last sermon for this season? I know I enjoyed them and there are many that are discouraged about how it ended.
