recruiting success go to the assistant coaches as well? Aren't they the ones who establish the real relationships with the recruits?

We have a lot of great guys on staff, but it is easy to see it all starts with Dabo. His philosophy of having players show up at Clemson before offering, talking them out of commitments, and personally meeting with each recruit.

Even this article misses on the most important part of Dabo's recruiting and the reason Clemson is special. We don't recruit the best or most talented players each year. We recruit talented players that are a fit for Clemson. We may never have the #1 class, but we will fill needs and continue to build on the culture that has brought us this far.

The author is right. Dabo is the best, but if you have to pick one coach to meet with a player for a commitment it might not be Dabo. He may just shake his hand and wish him the best wherever he ends up.

true also look at the assistants he's recruited, the guys who stay (both players and coaches). he may not always get the #1 ranking though he gets very high marks but as far as recruiting for need he does outstanding
