DeSantis like Hitler, yeah right

Jan 16, 2022, 9:39 AM

Is there anyone in the USA that buys into this? Do the TNet libs see DeSantis as sharing many qualities with Hitler?

https://nypost.com/2022/01/15/nikki-fried-compares-gov-ron-desantis-to-adolf-hitler-in-interview/

Again, like the million other citations anyone can find, this is not a fringe element or an anonymous person in their parent's basement writing a blog. This is a sitting Florida Agricultural Commissioner and 2022 Democratic gubernatorial candidate.

The democrats are screwing themselves. They are living in the squalor they created having lost almost all independents and even some of the democratic base. Even with the MSM and social media on their side, the REALITY of inflation, mask/vaccine mandates (except for those in power), no credit for natural immunity, Loudoun county-like war on parents, white supremacy, etc. people who have some ability to think for themselves are figuring it out.

At this point in time, if Trump is the pub nominee in 2024, pubs will be turning away many votes they would otherwise have. Could be the difference.

Is 2024 the right time for a solid third party candidate?

But, lot of time between now and then. China/Taiwan, Russia/Ukraine, who knows if there will be a black-swan event that could change the path we are on.

Going a little bit all over the place here. Surprised “woke”, “antifa”, “George Soros” and “the new world order” weren’t listed below.

If you read her comments, they were related to how hitler rose to power thru various methods of suppression, increased authoritarianism and consolidation of power.

Now comparing anyone to Hitler is never a good choice in politics but his and generally the GOP movements are on the Facism track.

What exactly is the federal government over taking in the last year? Examples please …

Re: DeSantis like Hitler, yeah right

Jan 16, 2022, 1:07 PM

The federal gov't and especially democrats are more than willing to expand what they "provide" to states and individuals.

The reason is because once they breed dependence, they can threaten to take it away unless the benefactors comply.

Current example: with federal contractors and the vaccine. The rationale is since the feds pay contractors, they can dictate things like vaccine mandates.

There are lots of prior examples. Like when the feds forced seatbelts and 55 mph requirements on states by threatening to take away highway funding.

It's an easy read across to other scenarios, such as a single-payer healthcare system. Once they have you enrolled and control your doctors, anything they say must be complied with. I don't want to be subject to that.

Re: DeSantis like Hitler, yeah right

Jan 16, 2022, 1:13 PM

Lololol.

I think you’re a bit confused. The feds limited funds around drinking age. And guess what? That was under Ronald Reagan and the GOP (see below). Also the states set seat belt policy. Not the feds. So I’m a little confused about these big bad Dems trying to over reach with federal funds….let’s try again

https://alcoholpolicy.niaaa.nih.gov/the-1984-national-minimum-drinking-age-act

Re: DeSantis like Hitler, yeah right

Jan 16, 2022, 2:39 PM

Geez. Doesn't matter who did it. You see that's the difference in someone that can think and you.

Sure, I am sure Regan and every Pub president has used the power of the federal government in a way that it was not designed to be used.

That's one reason I support less government and less spending. If the gov't is smaller it can do less damage.

And, don't give the me fact that republicans spend as much as democrats. I know this, and don't like it - they all spend too much. However, I do prefer people working for the money (republican approach) as opposed to it being given away (democrat approach).

Sorry I misread this statement

“ The federal gov't and especially democrats are more than willing to expand what they "provide" to states and individuals.”

Which seemed to insinuate the Big bad dems are all about spending your money and then you go on and provide examples that the GOP did.

I totally agree with you that both parties spend way to much and I’ll even agree with you that the federal government should put more choice into states hands with grants and what not. That being said, on federal projects so we really need to outspend the world 4x in military goods without batting an eye? I dunno. How about making sure flint Michigan has drinking water instead of buy 6 missiles for a drone.

I've worked in and around the DoD pretty much my entire career. One of my kids is an Air Force fighter pilot.

The Army, AF, and Navy can't get much smaller and maintain the ability to fulfill the missions for which they are designed.

However, I fully believe/agree the DoD can get way more efficient. Just like any bloated bureaucracy, it has generated it's own internal bureaucracy that is tremendously wasteful.

If I were king, I'd have every manager in DoD take a course in efficiency and downsizing and make them do the same job for slightly less each year for five or ten years. Actually, it would be a good idea for every manager in all of the federal gov't.

An army of loyal followers who will do anything the deer leader asks? Beholden to slogans and suppressing the losers. Demeaning minority groups and making them a common enemy. Elimination of rivals who aren’t loyal and kissing the ring.

Anything sounding familiar here? The GOP ceded itself to Trump. Ask Mr Graham about where his loyalty lies … Trump? Or the citizens of South Carolina?

An army of loyal followers who will do anything the deer leader asks?

Yeah, the Dems don't have a lunatic base who pulls the lever for straight Dem? LOL.

Beholden to slogans and suppressing the losers.

Like Hope and Change? Facebook and Twitter suspending the accounts of anyone who speaks ill of Biden.

Demeaning minority groups and making them a common enemy.

Demeaning them like saying that aren't capable of getting a free ID and would die in line waiting to vote without free water?

Elimination of rivals who aren’t loyal and kissing the ring.

Hillary did a great job of making sure Sanders had no chance of getting the nomination.

1) Yeah, the Dems don't have a lunatic base who pulls the lever for straight Dem? LOL. - ummm who is this? Show me a group on par with the oath keepers and proud boys on the liberal side

2) Like Hope and Change? Facebook and Twitter suspending the accounts of anyone who speaks ill of Biden. - hope and change vs “lock her up”? Calling everyone a loser? And you’re funny on Twitter. Who beyond the crazy Trump and Marjorie “my milkshake brings everyone to the yard” Greene Taylor have been suspended?

3) Demeaning them like saying that aren't capable of getting a free ID and would die in line waiting to vote without free water? - huh? Dems aren’t the ones putting in clauses to prevent food and water to be handed out … and again, you probably lack the knowledge that poor individuals, white and black alike, have significant barriers to get IDs being required by the GOP which do little in the prevention of actual fraud

4) Hillary did a great job of making sure Sanders had no chance of getting the nomination.- agreed. Hilary and her group did actively suppress sanders and challengers to participate fairly in primaries. This is true.

Re: Iron Knee. Glass houses my friend, glass houses

Jan 16, 2022, 2:42 PM

There is no lunatic fringe in the democrat party. The base is wholly lunatic.

You have no credibility equating proud boys with republicans and conservatives. May as well say the KKK. The Proud Boys and like are a true fringe element. If you are too stupid to tell the difference, that's your problem.

Actually, we are seeing a few democrats self-select out of the lunacy of the left in recent polling with Biden's approval sinking below 30%.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Iron Knee. Glass houses my friend, glass houses

Jan 17, 2022, 10:05 AM

The proud boys that then president trump openly spoke to on a debate with Biden? The ones who openly met with White House advisors?

How exactly are they a “fringe element”?

Is it so hard to say the GOP has an extremism problem? I mean it doesn’t actually hurt your arguments to say that.

The dems have the progressives for sure. But as a whole they aren’t for the violent overthrowing of the government. They have actual policy they want to debate. Unlike the GOP which literally has no policy platform.

Come debate like adults … that’s all we want

Re: Iron Knee. Glass houses my friend, glass houses

Jan 17, 2022, 10:15 AM

You're right up there with Biden, drawing false assumptions and making up chit. We expect that from you.

Proud Boys aren't seriously trying to overthrow the government anymore than BLM or ANTIFA. Surely the FBI has infiltrated all three groups and are able to closely monitor their activities. But nice try.

What's your next conspiracy joke?

BTW, are you saying that the Right is more violent than the Left? Give me your thoughts; skip the UK hyperbole. We're tired of it.

I heard the interview. And, yes what you say is correct, and it sounds like you agree with her. Nonsense. Pure nonsense. Because of your liberal echo chamber, you think "everyone" agrees with you that conservatives are fascists. It's bunk, pure and simple.

But by all means, keep it up because every time you tweet or retweet or like something along that line of thinking it drives another reasonable person (democrat or independent) away from the democrat party.

Interesting article. "I saw the rise of Hitler." She looks remarkably well preserved to have witnessed Hitler's ascension.

Comparing DeSantis to Hitler is a truly brilliant political move. That definitely will help her out in the Panhandle and the I-75/I-4 corridor.

Fried is fried if this is all she has. Total loser pitch.
