I honestly thought we would be in the playoffs this season! We had the defense & talent to do it minus the injuries & DJ started out playing much worse than he did the two big games his freshman season.

If Trevor would have been here another year we would have played in another playoff even with the injuries...

Not sure our WR’s would have held up in the playoffs though.

Considering our injuries & QB play we have done well to have a shot at another 10 win season. We should have never lost to NC state, we could have won another ACC Championship or at least played for it.

DJ has played better since he got hurt, it was like that helped his focus in my Opinion. DJ is so talented but I don’t knew if he can pull it all together by next season.

He reminds me of the Pitt QB Kenny Pickett who was awful under pressure for 2-3 seasons but has turned it around & will be a top NFL QB pick. I wouldn’t put money on him being NFL great but he has improved greatly.

If Kenny can do it so can DJ! I hope he puts it all together & the future is bright with Cade coming in next week.

HS - some of those injuries tend to be less painful and something you can work through if you are having an outstanding season it seems like. Not all the time of course; but the nicks and bruise variety seem to heal quicker then.
I think we would have been fine with a QB that was playing with confidence! Or at least not timid. The OL didn't help - but as it has been noted: "the team worked it out and got better"!

Hoping and praying for a clean game where nobody gets hurt! I'm also hoping the Tigers come out and play like it's pre-season ranking for a night and dominate in every way!

I agree! With Trevor we would be back in the playoffs and we would have beat Georgia back in sept.

Even DW4 would have eaten the lunch of our opponents and the lunches of their fans in the stands in this season. My goodness Georgia would have been torched by DW4's running and scrambling ability more than his arm talent.
