Internet service

Aug 9, 2019, 7:38 PM

I live in Greer and currently pay $60/mo for Spectrum internet at 60 Mbps. Does anyone know of another provider offering faster speeds at roughly the same price? I looked into Xfinity, but they do not offer service where I live.

TIA in advance.

Have you had that rate for a while? It seems high

compared to what I found for Spectrum by searching around:

I suggest contacting customer service and see if you can switched to a new plan, maybe a new promotional rate or something.

Those prices are for new customers only. I checked into that earlier this week. I would have to completely cut off my current service for 30 days before i would be eligible to restart service at those prices. I run a business from my house, so cutting off my internet for a month is not an option.

asking for them in the past, but maybe Spectrum is different. I still think they'd rather keep you at a lower rate (or more speed for the same price) than lose you as a customer. You'd be surprised what's possible if you're polite but persistent, if you talk to the right person.

Have they run Fibre Optic in your neighborhood? AT&T has a

first year promotional rate for their Fiber 300mbps. It is $60.00 but limits it monthhly to 150 terabytes. It is a bit more for unlimited(which I had to get).

Can't go wrong with Optic Fiber.

AT&T is currently offering 300mbs for $40/mo., with unlimited usage, as long as you bill it with your phone/cell/or TV service. And a $50 gift card, too. Have to call to get that.

Windstream is worth talking to.
They will negotiate.

Windstream is garbage. Stay away.
