Interiorpainting.net

Got a quote on interior painting. Whole house.

Ok, so the guy priced out 15 gallons of paint @$25 a can, and 9 gallons of trim paint at $15 a gallon.

Now by my math, that comes to $510 of paint, 24 total gallons.

Alright, now the total estimate was $14,000.

So lemme math that out.....that comes out to around $550 of labor PER CAN.

I'm thinking this is the I don't want the work price or something.

it isn't "I don't want to do it" it's "everybody is so busy you're going to pay this no matter what"

Unlike tigermanac, I'd wait on anything renovation wise that you can't do yourself

or you need to tell that dude to take a hike lol

we got around 2200 sq ft painted for ~$3k in labor plus paint (august 2020)

Also - no idea where you finding paint that cheap.

I'm painting the nursery and the last guest room this weekend. yay.

Just what was in the quote. Was cutting us a deal on the

paint I think. Was supposed to be Scuff-X from Ben Moore (should be around $50 a gallon). But that didn't hide the ripoff on labor.

Just told him to take a hike before I just got this second estimate in today. Didn't need it to come in to tell him to take a hike.

We're having two bedrooms painted for $600 including the paint.

That includes washing the walls, taping, using drop cloths, and two coats of paint.

The guys don't speak much English but they do good work.

I hope you are getting REALLY good work done for $8500

Oh, I used to only hire Americans but what kept happening was a white guy would come out and quote the work but the crew doing the work was Mexican so now I just hire the Mexicans directly and save half.
