Interesting scheduling quirk ... 6 ACC teams have road games

in Week 1 while ...

All 14 SEC teams have home games.

SEC has had favorable matchups in week 1 games for years. It would be more interesting to send them out west or up north to change it up. I think it absolutely benefits the home teams.

are cowards when it comes to play non-conference road games. When they do its against some high school team like ECU.

Is the ACC really challenging themselves much more? 2 of these 6 ACC road games are against other ACC teams, and 3 of the other 4 are against East Carolina, App State, and Old Dominion with the only P5 road game being FSU taking on LSU. The FSU game against LSU btw is in New Orleans with LSU traveling next year to play FSU in Orlando.

In comparison, the SEC has Georgia playing Oregon, Arkansas playing Cinci, LSU playing FSU, and Florida playing Utah. Home games or not, you're really going to tell me the ACC has a tougher OOC schedule in week 1?

Georgia gets Oregon in Atlanta this year, but they play at Oklahoma next season. Florida has Utah at home this year but they play at Utah next season.

In week 2 Alabama plays Texas on the road, Missouri plays KState on the road, Tennessee plays Pitt on the road, and Vandy plays Wake at home.

Auburn plays Penn State at home during week 3, but that's a return from Auburn playing at Penn State last year.

So I really don't see any evidence showing the SEC plays any fewer road games than other P5 conferences.
