Currently the college football world is stuck on the idea that only offense-minded coaches are worthy of consideration for HC jobs.

The Bob Stoops success story at Oklahoma quashes the popular narrative that the only worthy up-and-coming HCs come from the O-side of the ball. Stoops was a D-coordinator under S.Spurrier at FL.

That’s a good point. Stoops tried the screw him over and hire a Stoops brother which is one reason why we got him.

Yet Stoops' Defenses were horrible post 2008.

Even in 2008 they gave up 50+ to Florida in the National Title. I guess they had to adapt to their conference's trend
