There’s allegations he didn’t improve between his Freshman year and his Junior year. Supposedly there’s tape of it being true and a O-line coach who was in on it. This could get interesting

Neither did Hyatt. Uncertain as to the allegations you have brought up, but Clemson has been a playoff team despite o-line recruiting, coaching, development and play. Defense, QB, and skill players have carried Clemson teams. That's just a fact not a criticism.

To those asking what: JC was accused of rape of a 15yo when he was 18 a d at CU. Supposedly this came out before the draft process and is why some teams backed off on him.

It also states the girl waited to tell the police until 2 years later when she learned he was dating her child hood friend. That’s a little weird. Not saying she is lying, because she might be telling the truth. But people do not help themselves with timing of things. And also the mom should get in trouble because I’m the report it said she told her mom the night in happened. Why would the mom not report it? You are going to let your 15 year old daughter be raped and not do anything about it? It is weird that he would chose a 15 year old though. Definitely red flag there. Hopefully it’s not true but I’m not calling the girl a liar either. It’s definitely a bad look.

I agree! If she would have reported it the next day it would have had a lot more impact. But to wait 2 years and report it after you find out tour friend is dating him. It’s hard, you don’t want to say she is lying then she was telling the truth, then you are a bad person.

After reading the full account, I can see why no charges were ultimately made. Yeah there is some corroboration among friends and family members of her story but it’s all hearsay. As you said she also waited a long time to report it. Plus there are some issues with phones and phone records.
That being said, who thought it was a good idea for him to be seeing a 15 yo? Apparently her family was fine with it too for a while. BTW she also lied to them about where she was. So I’d say it was really bad judgement on his part to even be involved with her and even worse on her parents’ part to agree to it.
The sad part is we won’t ever know the truth, but even though he was cleared through legal channels, this is still being brought up by somebody apparently with an axe to grind with the Bengals.
.....so let me make sure I'm reading what you wrote here:
1. Jackson made a mistake seeing a 15 yr old -- yep, he definitely did.
2. Her family, albeit not crazy about it, did allow their child to hangout with Jackson -- let's remember their words paraphrased in the article and honestly sounds like this may be a single mom household...who even advised her daughter to be careful.
3. It was bad judgment on Jackson's part for being involved with her because she did a teenager thing and lied about where she was because she didn't wanna get in trouble with her folks and worse on her parent for not outright locking up a teenager to prevent her from going out with a dude....
Soooooo ultimately, what I'm getting from this that the girl and family should take responsibility for Jackson's actions....

Sorry, chap. That's a big negative for me.
Idk 100% what happened either but I got enough from the report to get the gist that something happened that wasn't consensual and although charges weren't brought on him (since they said they couldn't prove this without a reasonable doubt), dude is lucky to even have a career in the NFL right now.
No excuse -- no means no and if Jackson (or any guy) disregarded it and moved forward despite verbal (or even non verbal) communication that's r.a.p.e. and there isn't an expiration date that says "once we pass this date, this doesn't count as r.a.p.e."
Doesn't matter if consent was even given at first, once retracted, you respect the individual's wishes and stop doing what you were doing.
Overall, for anyone reading this, take a moment to read the article to draw your own conclusions.
Personally, I'm disappointed by how some folks want to pass this off as some money grab or attention seeking person because the girl involved was hesitant about going to the police and embarrassed about what happened.
Truth is three sources know for sure what happened -- Jackson, the girl, and God and if Jackson did what he did (or by chance the girl is in the wrong), they'll be answering for it later.
