Injuries Bugs everywhere has hurt us tremendously plus plus

We have been blessed in the past without a lot of serious injuries. I think Dabo has wanted to play conservative to keep more injuries down & to let our defense win games.
Brian Bresee was the leader on defense.


Any of the best teams with this many injuries would have 2 or more loses.



I saw this list online, I’m not certain how good it is just thought it was eye opening.

Even the great Bama teams we beat 2-1 in National Championships would lose some if they had lost this many highly ranked players & experienced players.

We have to heal in addition to some changes? How long will it take to right the ship... hopefully we all have time to stand behind Dabo to right the ship!

at least some time. Not the only reason for this year, but definitely a big part of the lack of continuity

Nope, but we haven't really been healthy since SC State

especially in areas like the OL very difficult to get better when you are starting a new combination every week. Or when 4 of your 5 top receivers are out last week. OL we've had 10 different positional starters through 7 games. Only guys starting every game in the same place are the tackles. And we're playing guys who were 3rd team entering the year.

Just to contrast, Pitt has started the same 5 OL every game, 4 of them 5th year seniors.

And John Williams isn't listed as he was slated to start rg or rt tackle. That one hurt.

Bama, who you referenced, is much better positioned roster-wise to weather this storm than us....

Yep. They have a lot of injuries too... And had a lot of attrition last year. We've been very fortunate over the past decade to have as few as we have. We've been deep at certain position groups but thin in most groups. Teams like Bama and OSU can withstand it. Imho, we thought we were Bama but the truth is, we don't carry the depth. As a poster said last night, we have players on the line that are 2 star and low 3 star. That's not happening at the other programs and now add uga.
