Clemson v. GT Game Predictions

I believe this is a game that could see us really putting another "statement" out there for all the pundits. Personally I can't imagine GT scoring more than 14 in this game, regardless of their option based attack. GT's defense has not impressed me at all this year, so I'm calling this game at a score of 34-14. What do y'all think?

Don't know about the score, but if the D is as bad as you say, would be a good time to give the wr's a workout. And let's face it, with all the running we've been doing, Watson could stand a refresher too.

Clemson favored by 7. Coming off big primetime win. Defense fizzled in the 4th but didn't fizzled out. Offense has to be more creative and not predictable. GT losers of three straight and has to be the biggest disappointment in the ACC so far this season. Running game has not produced and defense has struggled. However, Paul Johnson is a good coach and I don't see GT going down without a fight. Clemson still wins but closer than expected. Clemson 27 - GT 22

We do so at our own peril. Lots of times in college football that the worse team pulled off a miracle upset.
I think we can stomp them, but only if we respect them.

Tech will come to DV prepared to fight, but if we can come out offensively without being conservative later I see us wearing out their defense. We really need to get off to a great start in all phases. Clemson wins with a solid sustained effort.

I say we win the lines of 38-10 with a late touchdown by them in the 4th. Only reason I give us 38 is due to the fact we force a few turnovers and we score on those. I think Watson has a better game, but it all depends on if it rains. If it rains I think it will be much worse, due to the fact GaTech's defense is pretty crappy against the run. And Gallman and Co. run up a storm. With that triple option they will not really do a lot of pitches in the rain. That will help us out tremendously with our keys. If its strictly handoffs and QB runs they are in trouble. Shaq and Kevin have shown to be really good against the run. Our linebackers and Safeties crash to the ball VERY well. I don't see any real "deep threats" on their roster that will keep us on our toes. I know PJ will try to throw the ball to keep us off balance, but with the way that BV blitzes and how our DE's and DT's get up field Thomas won't have the luxury of standing tall in the pocket and delivering the ball down field. This means to throw the ball they will have to be running the ball effectively to move the pocket around to be able to throw down field.
