In watching the Oklahoma game, CBV has absolutely imparted more intensity

especially on defense. I know it’s only Nebraska(sad), but they’re playing with a hunger.

That’s all Coach Venables.

They’ve shown him coaching them up hard on the sideline with a 42pt lead a couple of times.

Plus they are scoring as many points as they can bc BV understands that it's not his job to stop his team from scoring. Don't think for a second that if we played Ok, BV would allow his team to score as many points as they can bc BV has that killer instinct that all coaches should have in FB. FB is a violent game, and no prisoners should be taken. And I do wish that Dabo would develop that same killer instinct, if he did, we would get the respect everyone believes we deserve!!!

I understand where you’re coming from, but I disagree here.

Dabo has mentioned before that they mentally map managing the entire season with the goal of a championship. That includes necessarily rotating in more players to build the depth needed for a long run. All and all, it’s going to look uglier, the more committed a team is to that approach.

In terms of play calling during those times, I agree with you that we should be more aggressive.

BV went and hired him a REAL offensive coordinator too.

We should have hired Jeff Lebby.***

BV learned from Dabo to hire talent -- like him and Chad Morris who for all his foibles brought us DW4 and a real offense.

I think dabo is trying to preserve the great system that we had by promoting staff that learned from the coordinators like BV, however it doesn’t seem to be working. I think that will all take care of itself after this season though

Some of you boys should be coaching given you know more about how to achieve success than Dabo

I agree that our goal should be to play as many players as possible once the score gets to a certain amount. All of them need experience in case our depth is tested later in the season.

He also brought in Ole Miss' OC from last year. They aren't vanilla.

And they played a Nebraska team that has a mountain of issues and then compound the firing of a coach. Sorry but I won’t make sny judgement good or bad on the schedule so far. May be great may be average time will tell.
