In this new era of transfer portals and what seems to be

Dec 12, 2021, 9:15 AM

a decreasing level of moral compass within college athletics, let me say how much I truly love everything about the Army-Navy game. Say what you will about the level of play, but a Clemson national championship game withstanding, it is my favorite game to see every season. Respect. Honor. Love for God, country, and fellow man. It does still exist,

As for our departing coordinators...all that should be said is these guys did it right. They didn’t leave unexpectedly. They were professionals. These are two great men, both very deserving of these wonderful opportunities, and it was a great ride with them. BV ran the best defense in the nation hands down. Tony is a CU alum, letterman, and father. These guys brought not one, but two national championships to CU. Played for two others. That’s absurd. Wow what a blessing and experience for us as fans.

So yes nobody wants to see either go, especially at the same time. But take the time to reflect. What Dabo has done at CU will never be duplicated. Enjoy it. Savor it. The best is yet to come.

Go Tigers

Can you give some examples of the decreasing moral compass And how they relate to the transfer portal?

For one- the recruiting of players that are currently on scholarship at other schools. That did not go on to this degree when a player had to sit out a year.

I know of one program in the state who had a student staffer reach out to kid they went to HS with to see if he wants to transfer. This was at the direction of the head coach. That is legal right now but kind of sketchy

What sketchy doesn’t mean illegal or tomorrow. You said it wasn’t against the rules. To be successful people are going to push right to the edge of what they are allowed to do. That is not a new thing never has been and never will be. What will happen though is people who are not willing to push right to the edge are going to find themselves less successful. Landscape has changed and there’s nothing anyone can do about it.
