With the super conference deals going around and affiliations changing what is the future of the bowl system?
Players are opting out so they can prepare for the draft instead of playing!
I think in 10 years you won't see bowl games! You agree? Yay! or Nay!

But who knows what rises from the ashes of the NIL/ NCAA/ conference power plays/and what the impact will be on college football as we know it? Will an alternative to cfb develop that does not require university-level academics and regulation?
The most mathematically sensible result for the NCAA is (4) 16-team playoff conferences, with the conference winners being automatic playoff entrants and a first-round bye. Additional playoff invites would require first-round games and could include non G64 teams.
Non-playoff bowls would be market-dependent. If there is a television market for them, they may survive. But anyone who says they know what lies ahead of the current chaos is lying.

My strawman is this-
In 10-yrs, bowl games will still be with us, but the larger, bigger $$ ones will define an expanded playoff schedule.
The next tier would define a “who’s in” for the next season within a Premier League format whereby the games are again of consequence for standing above or below the cutoff.
Others yet would remain honorary and provide reward and recognition of commitment.
