Obviously we fans don't get see the QBs in practice each week but we do get to see the finished product during games. After the starter, we only get to see the backups in certain situations. As the casual fan here are my observations:
Bryant - Obviously he gets most of the the work with the first team. We have a stable of play-makers and the QB should be bringing out the best of the of their capabilities. Bryant is not doing that. It's either the coaches' play calling or the O-line is not blocking or Bryant. But it's the little things that I've noticed. If Bryant throws the long ball it's either way overthrown or on the money but I've rarely, if ever, seen the back shoulder throw or throwing it where only the WR uses his height climb and get the ball. The screen passes have been very ineffective this year. I have not seen Bryant lead the WR. The WR is always having to reach behind or over his head. Those tenth's of seconds of the ball not being where it needs to be allows the D to make the play. We know he can roll out and hit the TE and does that well but you can't do that every time. We know Bryant can run but why should he be running so much when Feaster and Etiene are more than capable.
Cooper - His passes seen to be mostly under thrown. Even in cleanup situations he has never looked like he was comfortable or in control. That lack of leadership is either inexperience or lack of ability.
Johnson - In the brief appearance of WFU game after Cooper could not get things rolling. Johnson's play looked 10 times better. He looked confident and in control. His passes were much better. However, we have not had a lot of looks at him running the option.
The coaches get the benefit of seeing these players in practice but based on limited observations, I'd like to see a little more of Johnson.
In hindsight i thnk even the coaches would like to have...

seen if Hunter could have moved the ball last night. It was telling when coach said Elliott: 'We really started panicking probably', I think it was panic with both the players and coaches and that prevented our coaches from giving Hunter a chance. I know it's easier to sit here and discuss it online than to make the tough decisions during the game. Even so, Go Tigers!
