though we had stopped cOOTs Heisman winner George Rogers (like Hershall the Walker) who "NEVER" scored on Clemson in his 3 years of trying.

Saying..don't give uP on the 2014 version of Tiger Football!

people who thought we'd beat the reigning national champs, Georgia, in 1981 - much less anyone who thought we'd have the season we did that year.

That's what made it exciting, as fans anxiously awaited each game, opting to take one game at a time. By the time of the UNC game people began thinking we could go all the way, although that game was closer in score than most liked.

Even at season's end and ranked #1 with the OB looming against Nebraska, most fans and the national media were hesitant to believe we could knock off a team like the Cornhuskers. And that's what made that great victory a perfect conclusion to the season.
