that actually finished higher in the conference standings was on conference probation? Do I recall correctly? My memory is another team won the conference title on the field in terms of wins/losses but the chickens were next in line due to actual champ ineligibility.

If so, they need an asterisk on their sign.

In 1969 the ACC was terrible....

$CU was the only team in the league to finish the season with a winning record (7 - 3 overall and 6 - 0 in conference play), although UNCheat did finish 5 - 5. Every other team finished with a reocrd of 4 - 6 or worse.
