I am not usually easily influenced by spokespeople

But my next pair of tennis shoes WILL be Adidas - assuming they have a pair with some orange on them, which should be a safe bet with TL and ETN in their stable.

My guess would be that few here have bought more "sneakers" than me.
Nike makes good ones but --?
I trained in Adidas after 40 and ran a 2:44 Marathon at Boston.
Mostly now buy New Balance, but will again look at Adidas.

New Balance is one of the few that still make a portion of their sneakers in the U.S.

I have been 6 times.
I was not there in 86 0r 88 but I was there in 87 so we just missed each other. 87 was the hottest year I have seen there -> miserable! I was 41 and believed I was in 2:39 shape. I ran 2:47.
I never did make a 2:39.

I’m a New Balance Guy, bought my first pair in 79 when I running CC. They were blue & yellow and hideous but they were great. Everybody used to ask me if they were “zips” because back then very few people had ever heard of New Balance.

One of my daughters is a soccer player. When she was about 12, the “in” thing was very brightly colored (usually Nike) bladed cleats. They looked cool, but my daughter could barely walk after playing in them. The sales guy at Soccer Locker recommended we go to Adidas “Copa’s”. His daughter was the GK at UT and plays professionally now. Back then Copa’s only came in Black with White stripes. When she was young, I used to have to color the stripes purple and put purple laces in, so that she could have cool shoes too. By the time she was 14, 80% of her team was wearing Copa’s. They solved her lower leg problems almost immediately. She’s probably been through 20 pair and still plays in them to this day.

Adidas is the bomb in soccer shoes.
