common lying tell in the interview I saw with one media outlet---namely giving too much unrequested detail in his answer.


Paraphrasing, but it was basically just like "I didn't know about the guns....I don't even like guns. Also, I have a criminal record so guns are illegal in my house, so I absolutely would have turned the guns in to the police if I knew they were in my house."

It was like he was trying to get ahead of something.....

I saw an interview with the dad and he said (also paraphrasing): "I didn't see my kid as much as I would have liked because of COVID protocols." He said this from his girlfriend's house where they were celebrating the graduation of someone other than his kid...

With the over-proliferation of easy to get credit cards in the USA it doesn't take much for someone to charge up several thousand dollars worth of goods before ever paying a red cent for it. There is a reason the average American owes $6000 in credit card debt and it's certainly not because banks carefully screen who they give these things too. Not sure if this is how he paid for these things but it would not surprise me.

Otherwise - he may have stolen the money from relatives, sold drugs or Lord knows what else...

The guns.

The government is to blame. It pretends to be there to protect us, but it doesn’t. That false sense of security let’s people be comfortable with idiotic things like “easy target zones” (gun free zones). Then when something bad does happen, the police wait outside until the shooting stops.
