I'm thinking about becoming an offense coordinator

Oct 24, 2013, 5:00 PM

Here is the plan. I recruit nothing but offensive linemen. On the roster of 80+, we're going to have 40 OL, then we're going to line up whichever one can take a snap at QB, and whichever one can get his momentum moving forward at RB. Then, we just run between the tackles every play. I will be a Tigernet GOD! No one will ever tell me to "just run the ball" and anyone that requests me to pass the ball will immediately have their masculinity called into question by numerous posters. I'm taking football back to the good old days when the forward pass was considered taboo and a sign of weakness. WHO"S WITH ME!

don't play against me...

I am defensive coordinator with all OL

Dang....you wanna be my defensive coordinator

Oct 24, 2013, 5:03 PM

We could just have an entire offensive of offensive linemen. Like I said, Tigernet would LOVE US!

can we just recruit 5 star OL?***

6 stars if possible

Oct 24, 2013, 5:07 PM

but yes, five star minimum...if they are not at least 6'5 and 330 as 17 year olds...we tell them to GTFO and play for some limp wristed team that throws the ball.

Using TigerNet logic

Oct 24, 2013, 5:14 PM

We want Paul Johnson.

Sorry Bro, Paul runs outside the tackles like a girl

Oct 24, 2013, 5:15 PM

and occasionally throws the ball. We don't need that kind of sissy mess on our field.

You also need to recruit linebackers but only to have them run the ball in short yardage situations. Then you will be Tigernet royalty.

None of my running backs will be under 270

Oct 24, 2013, 5:21 PM

All will play guard or center in high school, none will wear gloves or sleeves.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Should read over 270***

Only Orange, no gloves, no sleeves

Do you remember when Coach Ford said

Oct 24, 2013, 7:42 PM

He could take a lineman and make a QB outta him? 1979 or so.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I'm turning back the clock

Oct 24, 2013, 9:02 PM

1979 here we come. We are also going with the half shirts Riddell jersey.

Yep. He said something to the effect of; Give me a good O line and 2 good RBs and I can get anyone to hand off the ball. I understand the cynicism of this post, but it really is just a weak attempt to justify Morris's abandonment of the running game at critical times in big games, and at the end of the day, silly message board sarcasm won't change the fact that we are sorely lacking this vital part of any and every championship caliber team. I said this before and I'll say it again: maybe instead of CU having a "get back" coach on the sideline, maybe we should hire a "run the #### ball" coach and keep him propped up beside Morris at all times. That way, when Morris starts brain farting again, this important member of the coaching staff can call him on it. (How's that for some sarcasm?)

I want in!!! Special teams coach right here!!! And...

Oct 24, 2013, 9:28 PM

I'll hire Sebastian Janikowski as my assistant since he knows a thing or two about being an offensive lineman who can kick a football. My job will be easy too since we won't have much need for a punter seeings how nobody will be able to stop the run and even if they do we'll go for it every fourth down because punting is for little girls!!!
