I wish it was something in that order, but them coots are dumbest people in the world, not just in SC. We have 85 scholarships just like every D1 program has, and it takes everyone of them to field a good team every year, so sure, we are going to bring in the best players we can just to keep in the elite statist. I hope they understand that Dabo won't let a one get away if he can prevent it, and he surely isn't going to pass on any just so the coots can get better. They are the ones that are in the sec, and it was them bragging just a short few years ago that with them in the sec, it was allowing them to grab top recruits that wouldn't sign with Clemson bc we were ACC. I guess they know now that it was Spurrier bringing in those recruits and not bc they were sec. If we were sec though, they would be force to close their FB program, or be forced to move to a low mid major conference where they actually should be now. They kill the sec strength of schedule right now!!!

The spin job they are trying to put on this commitment is hilarious. Apparently Clemson is either using extortion tactics or secretly laundering money to recruits and their parents through a local church.
Clemson's ability to continually out-recruit the Capons has absolutely nothing to so with the fact that; Clemson just won a national championship, Clemson just opened the Nation's premier football operations facility, $CU has no realistic chance to play for a championship of any kind, or the only thing CussChamp is building at $CU is a good case of hemorrhoids.

We all have tried to understand their reasons at times, but I've come to the conclusion that one would have to get on their level to understand anything they say or do. Even for just the fun of it, how in the h&ll does someone that's not in their click, drop to the level that they live, and try to understand them. The only way to drop to their level, I think that you have to marry into one of their families and live with them to get on their level. That idea is totally asinine, and it has left me with knowing that I'll never understand anything they say or do!!!

If the Gamecock fans would just read the comments of Xavier Thomas, they would get a clearer understanding of why he chose Clemson. Instead, they just moan and groan with comments like the above ones.

That would require Gamecock fans to understand what makes a great football team.
Their "Golden Age" was caused by Spurrier absolutely kicking our tails in recruiting during the transition between Tommy Bowden and Dabo Swinney. The talent gap was embarrassing in the Class of 2009 and still significant in 2010.
Once Dabo had proven himself, order was restored. By 2011 we had caught up in recruiting. Their recruiting started to drop by 2014 and ours has continued to get better.
Dabo gets 5-star recruits because Clemson players win (championship) rings and earn (class) rings.
