I grew up a Clemson fan and loved Clemson University from a young age. My time at Clemson as a kid, then a student, graduate, and now a parent of a student have really made me appreciate how special a place Clemson is. I’m not saying that it is any more special to me than for the newer fan. One visit can make a huge impact on anyone, including my wife who pulled for SC prior to her first visit.
To my point: Dabo embodies what Clemson has always been to me, home and family. His character and faith only make me appreciate him more in a world where winning is often valued above other more important things. But it doesn’t stop there. He has had unprecedented success while doing things the right way.
When Dabo hired Brent Venables, he not only hired a great person, but a defensive philosophy that would be the foundation on which the program is built. It seems he would want to maintain the same defensive philosophy that has worked for 10 years. Whether that individual is currently with our program or not, I believe he is poised to make a decision that will maintain the Clemson culture and success we expect from him for years to come.
