No matter how good the LSU DBs are

Jan 10, 2020, 7:22 PM

They have to be thinking "ohchit, those guys can run and catch fo sho" when watching the film. Maybe the coaches edited it some so's not to skeer them too much. If we just have an average good game they can't stop that. We usually "off the top belt" for championship games.

is what, 27th? should be alarming to them. They'll still be stout, but a guy who is nearly as good as their guy is playing against them at QB, and it ain't practice, it's for all the marbles...pressure is on them. Our D has already heard they're going to get stomped by the Unstoppable One, so they just have to play.

You realize the WRs they go against in practice every day right?

Best secondary Clemson has faced all year. Best skill players Clemson has faced all year.

“ CORNERBACKS

LSU – Derek Stingley Jr., Kristian Fulton, Cordale Flott, Kary Vincent Jr.

This one was another tough choice, but the simple fact that Stingley and Fulton are the two highest-graded cornerbacks among the four teams gave little thought elsewhere. Vincent has been strong as of late, and Flott has shined in limited time — but it’s the Stingley show for the Bayou Bengals. Stingley is the highest-graded cornerback in the entire country and has played outside of his age all season long, locking onto opposing teams' No. 1 wide receivers with seemingly relative ease. Save for a few lapses in coverage that have gotten blown out of proportion (see Alabama game vs. DeVonta Smith), Stingley has locked down in coverage and has an elite 91.8 coverage grade, with 21 total plays on the ball compared to just 34 completed passes into his coverage. Fulton joins just Jeffrey Okudah as the second-highest graded cornerback in coverage grade and the only three with elite coverage grades for 2019.”

Precisely, it’s not close actually. Fulton and Delpit will be top 15 picks and Stingley will be a top 5 when he comes out.

Should be a great matchup and hopefully our boys will be ready. No doubt about it LSU has NFL talent all over their secondary.

Maybe so.We will see.Haven’t played anyone with a pulse in the throwing game other than BAMA with Tua on one leg.

And the fact that LSU played teams that couldn’t hit a bull in the a$$ with a bass fiddle other than BAMA is relevant to Clemson’s schedule how?
