NCAA council approves changes to OT rules

Teams will have to go for a 2-point conversion in a second overtime period and then there will be alternating 2-point plays from a third overtime-on.

I've always thought they should change the rule so that the offense starts on the opponent's 40 instead of the 25. Don't reward a team a cheap FG opportunity after a poor drive.

I've always believed that college FB should follow the NFL in a tied game after time has ran out. Kick the ball off, and the first team that scores, win the game. That giving each team a chance to score has always been a crock to me. That only calls for more overtime play. The NFL way, you better stop the team that received the kickoff, or you lose, period!!! To start the over time play, just flip a coin to see who receives the kickoff, and the kicking team better hope they can get the ball back, or take a loss!!!
