2019: Jordan Burch-5 tfl, 1 sack over 2 years
2018: Zacch Pickens-7.5 tfl, 5 sacks over 3 years
And that's it. I remember coot fans were talking so much smack when they got both of them, and they both so far have had very underwhelming careers.

Loaded up with 3 stars this go round. Place is cursed imo. You have had Lou Holtz and Steve Spurrier and you have won the SEC East one time. Now we have Beamer and that’s supposed to be a difference maker. I think the guy is great from what I hear but do not believe he will be any different than the rest as far as any championships. When they start out recruiting Clemson in state then I may begin to worry.

To keep us relevant on a National stage. Our recruiting footprint is so far beyond that. This isn’t 1995 where we need to beat the Coots for 1/2 of the 20 guys that can get you to a 8 win season.

Man it’s a known fact you better win your instate recruiting battles. There will be times when there is great talent. We lost out on Lattimore, Clowney, Holloman and Gilmore. Before that we lost a stud RB to Auburn. Not sure who all FSU raked out of our state during there run. You go a couple of cycles losing talent like that to SC and you are losing 5 in a row again. Need to win Ga or do well at least, SC and NC, pick up some from Florida and then a few from other hit or miss states

Hated to lose the LB to Notre Dame. I’m sure there’s a back story there.
Scar signed only a couple of the more coveted guys in-state this year.
If it weren’t for the portal, they would be in a real fix.

I agree. Have not looked into their portal signings. Are they one and done? To me it’s like Juco. Time they get in and acclimated they were gone. Dang it’s been a long time since we have went the Juco route.

Dang was he a 5 star? Rumor up around my parts is that he was very lazy. Some Lewisville students would mention that he had to be highly rated because of his size. He played 1A or 2A high school and dwarfed most everybody he lined up against.

Lloyd? According to 247, he was only a 4 star. But yep, I remember the coots clucking about him when they got him, and he really hasn't done much for them either.

Yeah they like to claim Thomas is a bust. Thomas isn't even close to a bust. He was behind Cle his fresh year and fought injuries his soph year. Then covid really messed him up. Even with that he has been very active. Maybe not the sack master we thought his fresh year but still a starter and an impact guy. This is it for him, I see big things for X this year. Burch and Pickens couldn't hold Thomas' jock. Stats aren't even comparable.

Sure ... jealous Gamecock fans call XT a bust.
They got 2 x 5*s to save them (Jordan Burch and Zach Pickens).
In 5 total seasons (2 for Burch and 3 for Pickens), they have 5 (five) sacks and 12.5 TFL between them.
In an injury plagued 2021 alone, XT had 4.5 sacks, 6.5 TFL, and a whopping 18 QB pressures.
Burch & Pickens are coming back in 2022 (eager NFL GMs are bursting into tears having to wait ... NOT!).
XT is coming back in 2022 (the NFL GMs will be soiling themselves to draft XT after the 2022 season).
OK, Gamecocks, go ahead and start the "Wait For Next Year" cheer. With Burch and Pickens, you're ready to overthrow Putin.

In all fairness to the coots...they have only had 6 five star recruits in their history...While we have had 32! So, it is not fair to even mention them in recruiting posts if you are going to reference the Tigers in the same thread! LOL!

Please explain to me why does TigerNet have their head ups Clowney's. If Tiger Net knew NFL. If 47 top pick for Jacksonville for playoffs first year. Clowney sucked at Texans. I told Texans pick Clemson WR over trailer traah. Live is good Rams won and 2 Clemson TD didn't lead to win. I love Higgins but class he lost. T Higgis get your ### to T Lawrence home.
