I’m just going to put this here…

When I was about 13 years old, I was bitten on the face by a pig. He was a pet. He really jacked my face up and barely missed my right eye. There was a lot of blood. Some of it never got cleaned out of the carpet on the stairs. My parents decided to keep the pig because I begged for his life. Pretty sure my dad would have put him down if it wasn’t for me begging and his fleshy desire for my step mom. Anywho, there just happened to be a plastic surgeon that had been called in on an emergency that night, while I was in the ER. I remember them telling us how lucky we were that there was a plastic surgeon in the ER that night. He stitched me up pretty good. I had the absolute worst headache I’ve ever had, later on that night. I had been riding on adrenaline when I begged for the pigs life. But my migraines mostly went away afterwards. That night changed my life. It’s hard to remember the moments that change your life. But I remember Ramona. She was an older friend of the family. I love her so much. A real Braves fan. She came over to watch the pet pig and my siblings while I was at the hospital. She was always a real animal lover. She eventually told me that it took everything she had to keep that pig alive when animal control showed up. She had to fight them off. She wanted to kill the pig herself. But she did what my parents asked. Anyways, not sure where I’m going with this. Think I’m just hiding from a darker memory I think. But yeah… a pig ripped off a small portion of my face as a kid and a plastic surgeon that just happened to be there carefully sewed me back together. Weird what your brain brings back in small patches.
I’m having bourbon and beer. What y’all got?

She was most excellent as a human being. A real character. The first person that I had ever met that potty trained a cat to ring a bell to go outside to use the bathroom. She didn’t want a litter box in her home.

Reminds me of our 8yo.

When he was about 4yo and on his training wheel bike he ran into his big brother's bike and split his lip WIDE open. Went to the ER. He was gushing blood and the lip was cut clear through...upper lip. They sent some RN or NP to come do the stitched. Head ER doc walked by, saw his lip and my wife's face, and told the minion to go do something else. Head ER doc sewed him up. Had to sedate him and spent a good 20+ minutes sewing in 15+ stitches. Today you have to look hard to see that tiny line where the cut was.

Pushing the girl who couldn't swim into a pool was one. Driving after 14 beers was probably another. That's about it. Could be worse.

People that endure and people that commit heinous crimes. Find yourself and know why you are who you are. That’s stops the cycle. Or so I’ve heard.

I almost sliced my finger off with a pocket knife, while trying to cut a part for a model car off the plastic tree. I ended up getting a few stiches for that slicing.

Do you still have the pocket knife? How about the model car.

Our pet pig died. After my step mom took him in the divorce and moved into some apartments, they made her get rid of him. She gave him to a farm. They told her a few years later that he wasn’t very healthy and had died.
But that pocket knife seems pretty cool. I would love to see a pic of the model car.

No. I didn’t care. She was my step mom. They were divorced.

I was compelled to visit her because I was told to call her mom at a point in my life. Only my father never visited her ever again after the divorce. I took her word for it. The pig was at the apartment one day and then one day the pig wasn’t. I accepted the story as truth and then moved on. I never visited my stepmom again.
